Margarson has the winning touch Touch of Frost continued the rich vein of form currently being enjoyed by trainer George Margarson when battling to success in the opening Stan James Rated Stakes at Newbury today. Margarson has one of the smaller strings in Newmarket but his numbers could be on the up judged by the success he has been enjoying this season. The 12-1 shot Touch of Frost, following up a success in a valuable handicap at Newmarket last week, led approaching the final furlong and fought hard to hold the challenge of Golden Dragon by a neck. 'She has got a habit of coming slowly out of the stalls and I have done a lot of work on her,' Margarson said of the winner. 'It seems to have worked as she pinged out today! 'She has come to herself like she always does at this time of year.'
