Marina is Lexus bound Glencove Marina will head for the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas after a respectable effort in the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase at Fairyhouse on Wednesday. Having his third start for Eoin Griffin, he was beaten three lengths into fourth behind Tranquil Sea and would be stepping up to three miles for the first time at Leopardstown on December 28. "He has come out of the race fine and we'd be hopeful we can go for the Lexus," said Griffin. "I don't think the race was run to suit him at Fairyhouse as they went so slowly. He was a little strapped for pace before staying on again. "He wasn't beaten far and we were happy enough given the hold-ups with the weather - although we are not the only ones who have been affected by that!"
