Paul Nolan (6 winners and 6 placed horses from 28 runners in the last three weeks) has his string in fine form, and a couple of his charges have attracted support today at Navan.

Galway maiden hurdle winner Last Exhibition has been backed from 9/2 to 11/4 with BoyleSports ahead of the For Auction Novice Hurdle at 12.35.

Later on the card, Nolan’s Quamino (7s into 5/1 with Paddy Power) , a winner over fences at the Dublin Racing Festival, bids to capitalise on a much lower hurdles mark in the 2m handicap hurdle at 2.45.

The consistent Dollys Destination (16s into 10/1 with BoyleSports) has also been popular in the same event at 2.45.

Bookmakers see the beginners’ chase at 3.15 as a match, with Melon (generally 10/11) and Fakir D’oudairies (2/1) both shortening up with everything else on the drift.

Willie Mullins had a good day at Naas, and further afield, yesterday and his bumper runner Energumene a point-to-point winner across the water at Larkhill last year, has been strong in morning betting and is generally a 5/2 chance behind the Gordon Elliott-trained 6/4 favourite Fakir D’alene for the finale at 3.50.
