Marnane hoping for good gallop for Jamesie David Marnane feels Jamesie will benefit from a fast-run Dubai Golden Shaheen on Dubai World Cup Night at Meydan on Saturday. The six-year-old has been in tremendous form all winter for the County Tipperary trainer, who believes he has earned the chance at Group One level Jamesie showed a smart turn of foot to land a six-furlong handicap over the course and distance in January and has been in the frame in two Group Three races since then. He completed his preparation with a sharp blowout over four furlongs on the all-weather track and took the exercise in his stride. "The horse is as well as can be and we just hope Saturday's race is run at a good gallop," said Marnane. "He likes to get in behind the pace, but if they go slow it will be hard for him to make up the ground."
