Marnane makes Dubai plans David Marnane has mapped out Dubai Carnival plans for stable stars Dandy Boy and Nocturnal Affair, as well as his new recruit Angel's Pursuit. Dandy Boy gave the Tipperary trainer one of the finest moments in his career when winning a valuable handicap at Meydan. Nocturnal Affair was also in Dubai last spring under the care of Herman Brown but made a very successful move to Marnane, winning the Ladbrokes Portland Handicap and the Mercury Stakes at Dundalk. Angel's Pursuit, who had lost his way for Richard Hannon, bounced back to form with a victory at Dundalk earlier this month. The trio are stopping briefly in Newmarket and are due to arrive in Dubai on Friday night. "They'll be stabled in the international barn at Meydan and all going well, all three will be in action early at the Carnival," Marnane told his website. "Dandy Boy has been dropped 7lb by the Irish handicapper and is now 3lb lower than when scoring in January. He'll relish the return to Meydan's quick ground and will run in the seven-furlong handicap on turf on the opening night, January 5. "He's in good order and went well when working at Dundalk earlier in the month. His preparation has gone smoothly, compared to 12 months ago when his training was interrupted due to difficult weather conditions." Of Nocturnal Affair, he added: "He will run in a five-furlong handicap on turf, restricted to horses rated 100-110. He had a short break after landing the Mercury Stakes at Dundalk in late October and has delighted us all since returning to full work. "Angel's Pursuit has come out of the race in good order and is showing all the signs of having improved since. Rated 98, the four-year-old has a seven-furlong handicap on grass, a leg of the Meydan Masters International Jockeys Challenge, on Friday, January 6 as his first objective."
