David Marnane's four-strong Carnival team have touched down in Dubai with last year's 2013 UAE Derby runner-up Elleval leading the way.

Red Dubawi, Jamesie and He's No Saint complete the squad which suffered a delayed departure due to the weather and travelled to the Gulf via an overnight stop in Newmarket.

"The horses arrived safe and well, the reports are positive that all four horses took the trip well and are in good order after their long trip," the trainer told www.davidmarnaneracing.com.

"Red Dubawi and Elleval are returning to Dubai for their second successive winter stint, while Jamesie and He's No Saint are making their first trip to the UAE."

The Carnival starts on Thursday, with the majority entered up, and Marnane is hoping to continue his record of a winner during each of the last three years.

"Elleval, who earned $480,000 from his exploits at Meydan last year, returns in the Singspiel Stakes, a $150,000 Listed race over a mile and one furlong," he said.

"Jamesie is in a rated handicap on Tapeta, while Red Dubawi starts his Dubai campaign in the five-furlong sprint handicap on turf.

"The Meydan Classic Trial, a race Elleval won last year, will be He's No Saint's first target on Thursday, February 6."
