Martin looking for another Swinton - 12 years on Tony Martin's Pires is the sole Irish challenger for the totescoop6 Swinton Handicap Hurdle at Haydock tomorrow. Paddy Brennan will ride Pires in the twenty three strong field. Pires is currently trading at around the 12/1 mark for the big two miler that Martin captured all of twelve years ago now in 1999 with that marvellous racemare She's Our Mare. The durable David Casey, successful on Kerb Appeal at Punchestown yesterday, was in the plate on that occasion. Pires won't make the journey to Haydock alone as Green Mile contests the totequickpick Long Distance Handicap Hurdle thirty five minutes earlier. Andrew Thornton is due to ride that nine-year-old.
