The topically named Mass Gathering emerged on top after a tight finish to the opening claimer at Naas this afternoon.

Fozzy Stack's charge went to post a 16/1 shot in the six furlong contest having failed to make much impression on her most recent outing in a Down Royal nursery.

Mark Enright 's mount hit the lead inside the final furlong today but edged left, bumping Zoffany's Delight and in return Styledome (who eventually dead-heated for fifth).

The daughter of Canford Cliffs secured a head victory over Zoffany's Delight at the line with three-parts-of-a-length back to The Last Knight

After a stewards enquiry the result stood.

The winning rider said:- “She was good. She had a very good run (when second) in Sligo but I'd say the ground in Down Royal the last day was probably too soft for her and she also got a bit upset in the stalls there.

“She's in for €6,000 to be claimed and she's for free at that. She's a nice filly and I'd say she'll go on the all-weather.”

The winner was claimed by Ms Paulette Kenny to be trained by Tom Cleary.

Fourth-placed Dacesa was claimed by PJ Prendergast to be trained by John Oxx while Uno Miligre (eighth) was claimed by James McAuley to be trained by Denis Hogan.
