Master Richard one to note for Hanlon Curragh native Stephen Hanlon took over Ann Duffield's training licence at the start of the year and has marked out Master Richard as a horse to follow among his string. Hanlon said: "We have 25 horses at the minute, all Flat horses. "I'd like to think Master Richard is a horse that we could look forward to this year in those competitive heritage handicaps during the summer. "We might look at the Spring Mile on the first day of the Flat season at Doncaster. He's got some form around Doncaster and he could be a horse for the Spring Mile. "He would have to improve on his rating, but he has been rated 90 before." Master Richard won twice last year in handicaps at Southwell and Thirsk for Duffield. Hanlon's yard is based in Leyburn, North Yorkshire.
