McConnell readying team for Cheltenham's October meeting John McConnell has his string in fine form at present and is readying a team for Cheltenham's two-day October meeting. Successful at this fixture last season, Intense Approach could return to Prestbury Park, with this Jack Hobbs chestnut bouncing back to his best over fences at Galway recently. The winner of his last two, Lieutenant Mayne could also make the journey across, while Mrs Mc Go is another possible. "I have a vague team (in mind) - obviously, Intense Approach who won last week could go there. Lieutenant Mayne might go. They have loads of options," McConnell, who registered a double at Downpatrick on Sunday, remarked. "I'm going to try and convince Tommy (McGeough, owner) to take Mrs Mc Go to Cheltenham with us in October. I think there is a three-mile race there for her. "The Cheltenham October meeting is a beautiful meeting and it beats running into Willie (Mullins) here in Navan!" Additional reporting by Michael Graham
