McCoy In Line For Impek Ride Tony McCoy will be asked to ride the Jim Lewis-owned Impek in the Stan James King George VI Chase at Sandown on St Stephen's Day. The 10-times champion jockey landed the totesport Peterborough Chase on the nine-year-old last month, and will take the ride in preference to Timmy Murphy. 'We have decided to ask `AP´ to ride if he can,' Lewis told At The Races. 'Unless JP (McManus) wants him in Ireland on the same day, then I am hopeful he will be able to.' Lewis continued: 'It has been difficult and how fortunate are we to be able to choose between the two jockeys that we rate the most. 'It has not been an easy decision but Tony has won a King George for me on Best Mate has been second in a King George too. 'He won me that glorious Queen Mother and he is a great rider for the big occasions. 'He and Valerie (Lewis´ late wife) got on very well too - there are orchids in the kitchen that he has sent and she did like him a lot. 'AP rides and let´s hope all goes well and I wish Timmy the best of luck.' ? PA Sport
