McCoy in action at Navan Fresh from notching his 4,000th success over jumps, Tony McCoy once again advertises his insatiable appetite for winners by heading to Navan on Sunday. While he enjoys his trips back to Ireland, McCoy is always thinking ahead and one of owner JP McManus's brighter prospects is Minella Foru, who runs in the Grade Three Boylesports.com Quick Bet Racing 'For Auction' Novice Hurdle. Victorious in a point-to-point in March, he made his hurdling debut at Listowel in September and won cosily. Trainer Eddie Harty said: "He did it nicely and he is a very nice prospect, but ideally I would have preferred to have taken on his own age group, but there weren't too many options for him. The form of the race he won hasn't worked out too well and I hope people aren't getting too carried away with him, but he jumped well and he did everything right at Listowel. "This represents a big step up for him and we'll see how he gets on at. Ideally I'd have preferred to go for a winners-of-one race, but finding a suitable one at a decent track wasn't easy. "He's in a bit at the deep end but is in good form. Like at Listowel, I think he'll improve for the run, but at the same time he's in there with a good shout." Taking him on are Grade Three winner King Of The Picts, the highly regarded Very Wood and Definite Elegance.
