Willie McCreery is keeping an eye on the skies ahead of Insinuendo's bid for the Group 2 Moyglare 'Jewels' Blandford Stakes at the Curragh on Irish Champions Weekend.

His Gleneagles mare really served it up to 2/9 favourite Luxembourg in a Group 3 over the same 1m2f trip at Headquarters last month before giving best by a neck.

The trainer said: Hopefully we get some rain, we are meant to get rain. Our Lord waters better than anyone!

"We will definitely go there anyway and see how we get on.

"She was a bit keen even the last day and I should have waited for the fillies' race, but I purposely didn't because I wanted to give her a month (between races) instead of two weeks.

"She has to go and prove it now.

"She has been great, she has come on. I can't wait, I wish it was tomorrow only I wish the rain came!"

Insinuendo has won three times including at Group 2 level over nine furlongs at the Curragh in July last year.
