Successful in last year's renewal, Self Belief will contest the Trigo Stakes at Leopardstown on Sunday.

Bred by owners Ballylinch Stud, the Make Believe gelding will carry a 5lb penalty having landed the Group 3 Meld Stakes at the south Dublin venue in August and all three of his career victories have come on a soft surface.

Looking forward to the 1m2f Listed contest on Leopardstown's final Flat fixture of the year, trainer Willie McCreery said: "We won't say no to the forecast rain and he seems to like Leopardstown.

"It is going to be tough for him to give weight away but it is the only race for him for the rest of the year.

"He'll enjoy the ground and we'll play it light as the Americans say!"
