McCreery outlines Fiesolana plans The Kilboy Estate Stakes at the Curragh is next on the agenda for Fiesolana after she completed a hat-trick for the campaign at Fairyhouse on Wednesday. Narrowly beaten into second on her Irish debut at Tipperary at the start of May, Fiesolana went one better with a smart performance in a Curragh handicap at the end of that month. She opened her account at Pattern level in the Ballyogan Stakes at Leopardstown, before following up in the Brownstown Stakes earlier this week, and trainer Willie McCreery is excited about the rest of the season. He said: "She had raced in France, but was wintering in Ireland and I was asked to lease her three months before her win at the Curragh. "She has come out of the race at Fairyhouse great and the intention is to run in the Kilboy Stakes (July 21). It was perfect ground at Fairyhouse, but she's a big filly with a lovely action and ideally would prefer an ease in the ground. "She's gone up nearly 20lb now, so the Group Two is going to be a natural progression. The Kilboy Stakes is over a mile and one (furlongs), but all her form in France is over a mile plus. "The race at Leopardstown she won was over six furlongs, but they did mad fractions in that race and she was able to come through to win. She has gears and a relaxed way of racing."
