It was a red letter day for young Scott McCullagh at Gowran Park today as he partnered his first winner aboard Invincible Queen in the first division of the seven-furlong handicap.

The 12/1 shot, trained by Mark Fahey, had to overcome some traffic problems having been squeezed up two furlongs from home.

McCullagh got his mount on terms passing the furlong pole and she stayed on well in the closing stages to record a length-and-a-half success under the 10lb claimer.

The 18-year-old is the son of classic-winning jockey Niall McCullagh and graduated from pony racing.

Mark Fahey said:- "She had a feather weight on her back and she handled the ground. I'm delighted for Scott riding his first winner and he's been placed on a few for me before.

"We'll try to fit in another 47-65 before the year is out."
