McDermott returns on Wednesday

Jockey Sean McDermott has been passed fit to return to race-riding and expects to be back for Limerick on Wednesday.

McDermott crushed a vertabrae in a first fence fall from Curragh Grey at Listowel on September 14 and had been on the sidelines for nine weeks.

However, McDermott stated today "I have been passed fit to ride by Surgeon Tadgh O'Sullivan and expect to ride at Limerick on Wednesday."

"Following the fall, I rested up for five weeks then started back exercising on a bike and swimming. I rode out all last week and feel very good."

McDermott had partnered seven winners this season, prior to his heavy fall.
