McGuinness hoping for further gains on the sand Ado McGuinness has his string in good form with three winners over the past few days including a double at Dundalk yesterday and will be hoping to add to his tally on the Polytrack tomorrow evening. The Lusk trainer is double handed in the €25,000 Bar 1 Betting New App Out Now Handicap with Apache Outlaw and Exquisite Acclaim. “Apache is top-weight, but he is top-weight for a reason,” said McGuinness. "He's in good form. We have got his back done and got a few bits and pieces done with him. He is working well and is in great order, so hopefully he will run a big race.” Apache Outlaw has recorded all six previous wins over shorter distances and has in fact only raced once over this mile trip. Exquisite Acclaim has gained six of his eight career wins at Dundalk and scored on his penultimate start at Laytown. The six-year-old was reappearing after a near three-month break here a fortnight ago and McGuinness feels that has put him spot on for this task saying, “Exquisite had a nice run here last time which blew the cobwebs off, so he is in prime order for it." The eight-runner feature includes Instant Appeal, a course and distance winner last month, and Daler who has also won over a mile at Dundalk this autumn.
