Robert Tyner recorded his third winner of the week when his Pulled Mussel scored a cosy win in the Paddy Power Best In Betting Value EBF Maiden Hurdle at Cork.

Tyner recorded a double at Clonmel on Thursday and added to the tally when Andrew McNamara steered Pulled Mussel, which travelled well throughout, to a cheeky length and a quarter win over front runner Mike McCann

Afterwards Tyner stated “He took his time and three runs to win his point to point. His bumper win was only a penalty kick but he is a stronger horse now.

“He'll come back here in December for a novice. He is very closely related to Ted Walsh's staying chaser Southern Vic.”

Adrian Heskin was unseated from Safe Exit (subsequently withdrawn) prior to this race. He was taken to Cork University Hospital for lung xrays and is described as 'sore' following two falls in the space of 24 hours.
