McNamara suspension The Stewards received a report from Turf Club Starter, Mr Philip Lafarge, that Mr Robbie McNamara, rider of Puddencullian (withdrawn prior to this race) had been very abusive to him at the start. Mr Robbie McNamara admitted that he had been abusive. Evidence was also heard from Mr. Lafarge and a video prior to the start was seen. Having considered the evidence given the Stewards were of the opinion that Mr Robbie McNamara was in breach of Rule 272 and taking his record in this regard into account, the Stewards suspended him for 4 racedays and also fined him ?500.
