McNamara targeting further Munster National success Eric McNamara is aiming for a hat-trick of wins in the Munster National at his local track in Limerick next month. The Rathkeale handler won the race with French Dynamite last October and the 11-year-old is a possible again for the €100,000 contest. He also claimed the 2024 running with Real Steel. French Dynamite proved disappointing when pulled up in the Kerry National last week but McNamara is hoping he can bounce back. Doctor Ken, who ran well to finish fourth at Listowel, could also be on the team for the Munster National along with Look To The West, who finished last in the Kerry National "Doctor Ken had a very good run, which was his first for us. He was a small bit fresh in himself and keen, so just got tired,” said McNamara. “The Munster National should suit him as, if he can wing the five fences up the back straight at Limerick like he did at Listowel he should be bang there.  "French Dynamite was very disappointing although he got a bad cut. Whether that had a bearing or not on his performance, I don't know, but he will be okay and he'll go to Limerick again. "Look To The West finished down the field but Limerick will suit her better as she has won around there in the past. "After his good run in Listowel, Doctor Ken looks to be our main runner in the Munster National."
