McNamara to ride Preists Leap Andrew McNamara will ride Preists Leap when he attempts to write himself into racing folklore in the Tendrleen Thyestes Handicap Chase at Gowran on January 21st - by winning the historic event for the third time. Thomas O'Leary today outlined riding arrangements for his stable star: "Philip Enright has told me that he is going to ride Footy Facts. It was his own choice and Robert (Tyner) didn't mind. He said that Robert Tyner is very good to him, he rides all his horses and that's why he's chosen to ride Footy Facts." "Andrew McNamara will now ride Preists Leap." Tralee native Enright rode Preists Leap to win the South Eastern highlight in 2008 and 2009. However he has also built up a good partnership with Footy Facts - winning three on the ten-year-old. Of course Enright first hit the headlines on Tyner's Spring The Que in the 2007 Pierse Hurdle. Andrew McNamara has teamed up with Preists Leap in the past – when finishing fourth behind the now retired Cailin Alainn in a two and a quarter mile chase at Thurles in March 2008.
