Meade records double Noel Meade recorded a double this afternoon when winning the concluding race at Tipperary, the Holycross Abbey Flat Race under Nina Carberry. Winning trainer Meade said afterwards: “That was a little bit of a surprise. Richard Heaney the owner had her at home and only sent her to me about six weeks ago but he had her pretty fit.” “She hadn’t shown us much at home but she never worked on grass before and according to Nina she loves the soft ground.” “She obviously stays very well and she’ll go jumping this season. It’s my first horse for Richard he’s is a neighbour of mine in Castletown.”
