Review DOWNPATRICK 16TH NOV

Two men in form, Charlie Swan and Conor O'Dwyer continued their good runs as each registered a brace, the former training Rory's Sister to take the maiden hurdle.

A third winner in as many racing days for the Modreeny outfit, this half-sister to the stable's dual victor, Rory Sunset, made all to beat Coconut Beach (1/1 into 4/5 on track) by 1 1/2L.

Half an hour later Swan and David Casey were expected to double up in the beginners chase but the front-running Bravery had just been headed when unseating rider at the last.

This left Arthur Moore's Madhi De Coeur clear for an unextended 13L victory in the hands of Conor O'Dwyer. The chasing first-timer was an 11/4 joint market-leader with Bravery.

Since O'Dwyer partnered Hear The Echo to success at Down Royal on November 4th, the Wexford native has been aboard a further seven winners.

He made that eight by completing his two-timer on Christy Roche's Lost Time in the 2m 7f beginners chase. This 4/9 chance effortlessly justified his odds.

The Swan 16 and a half to one double was brought up in the concluding bumper, Far More Serious (a relation of the yard's This Is Serious) winning by 2 1/2L under Lenny Flynn.

Elsewhere, Highglen and Kylegarra Lady made long journeys short for Pat Fahy and John Berry respectively. Robbie Moran was on the latter and he also scored a point-to-point win on her.

On his first attempt in h'cap chase company on his 23rd racecourse outing, Johnjoes Boy got just reward for some consistent form in the hands of Garrett Cotter for Seamus Fahey.
