Review LEOPARDSTOWN 23RD JUN

Out Of Thanks will be stepped up to Listed company next time after landing the featured ten furlongs fillies race in front of just over 5,000 racegoers.

The Moyglare Stud Farm home-bred was sent off the 11/10 joint favourite along with Haratila in this three-runner affair, and the latter adopted the role of pace-setter.

However the writing was on the wall as Pat Smullen's mount loomed alongside on the home turn, and she soon led to record a length and a half success.

'She did it nicely and that could turn out to be a smart contest. She has improved from two to three, should stay 12 furlongs and is entitled to go for a Listed race now,' said Dermot Weld.

Edward Harty, son and namesake of the Grand National winning jockey and former trainer, saddled his first winner with Misty Mountain in the fillies maiden.

Seamus Heffernan's mount shot clear over a furlong out while the odds-on Absolutely Cool was being denied a clear passage on the far rail, and kept on well to beat Diaconate by 1 1/2L with the 4/5 fav 1L further adrift.

'I have ten in training for the Flat on the Curragh and took out a licence in March. This filly quickened up nicely and the win is all the sweeter as we bred her ourselves,' said Harty.

Heffernan later completed a 62/1 double when Valentina Guest drew clear at the furlong pole to beat Avec Plaisir by three lengths in the ten furlongs handicap.

Black Turtle may bid for a quick follow up at Tipperary tomorrow evening after leading over a furlong out under David Moran to beat Wishes Or Watches by 1/2L in the nine furlongs handicap.

'She will probably run at Tipperary although it depends on how she is in the morning. She ran twice at Tralee earlier this month winning on the second run, and has always worked well at home,' said trainer Pat Carey.

Mutadarek was produced with a determined late run by Fran Berry in the seven furlongs handicap to get up in the final strides for a neck verdict over Dragon Inn Dancer.

'He appreciated the cut in the ground as he got away with fast ground once but didn't act on it at Gowran Park last time. He probably wants a little bit further,' said trainer Eoin Griffin.

Redrightreturning took a walk in the market (5/2 out to 4/1 co fav) but belied the lack of confidence by touching off Belle Artiste in the 2yo auction fillies maiden, and will go now for a nursery.

Rockstown Boy may head next to Tipperary for a valuable hurdle after justifying favouritism in workmanlike fashion under Roger Loughran in the amateur riders maiden.
