Review LIMERICK 4TH JUL

Sea Dart looks a like a horse capable of making his mark in Group races later on in the season after he put up a classy display in the Chesser Auctioneers Race under Fran Berry at Limerick yesterday evening.. The Diesis colt travelled beautifully throughout and raced clear over a furlong for a facile success.

'There are no major plans for him but he should step up again. He was a bit keen last year and we spent the winter trying to get him settled,' said John Oxx's assistant Jim O'Neill.

Oxx and Berry then followed up with Behrasia in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden. The 9/4 favourite went to the front two furlongs out and pulled clear to beat Final Opinion by three lengths.

'We might give her a break and see what kind of handicap mark she gets. She's a big, strong filly,' commented O'Neill.

Earlier, the Tony Mullins trained-Definite Best made it three wins in the last two weeks when she took the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap under David Condon. The five-year-old mare is likely to mix jumping and flat racing for the remainder of the summer.

Styler was claimed for 15,000, by Alex Stafford, after she won the opening Ladies Night Claiming Race under David Moran for trainer Jim Bolger. The 9/2 chance got up in the final strides to defeat Hidden Cave by a neck, with the 7/4 favourite Oriental Ben a length back in third.

Elsewhere, Buttons Galore landed the 0-65 handicap for Pat Shanahan and Caroline Hutchinson after she raced clear of the field in the final furlong for a two and a half length success.

'She could go to the Curragh for a seven furlong handicap next weekend but she needs nice ground' said Hutchinson.

Harry The Ear provided Mick Halford and Tadgh O'Shea with another winner when the Definite Article gelding took the Budweiser Summer Handicap. The 11/4 shot was sent to the front inside the final furlong and went on to defeat Dyrick Daybreak by a length and a half.
