The Philip Rothwell-trained Bowmore created a favourable impression by obliging on his debut over flights in the Alex McCarthy Maiden Hurdle at Limerick yesterday. The Alan Donoghue-ridden Bowmore went to the head of affairs after two out to beat Safe Deposit by two lengths.

Pat Kelly's Brave Eagle recorded his third career success by recording a last-gasp victory with Philip Carberry in the Happy New Year From The Brazen Head Handicap Hurdle.
Brave Eagle won at this meeting last year and similarly the Pat Doyle-trained Lord Who recorded his second course success by coming home at his leisure with JT McNamara in the Russell's Bar Leading Trainer Award Beginners Chase.
