Review NAAS 6TH AUG

Paul Carberry and Noel Meade teamed up for a double with Greco and Moratorium in the two hurdle races at a sparsely-attended Naas yesterday.

The successes were achieved in starkly differing styles, with Greco racing clear in the straight for a fifteen-length verdict over Up The Mountain in the Thoroughbred County Maiden Hurdle.

Moratorium meanwhile, was brought with a last-gasp run by the Meath jockey to record the cheekiest of victories over Effusive in the Go Racing In Kildare Handicap Hurdle.

Aidan O'Brien and Mick Kinane were also on the mark twice during the afternoon through newcomer Camp David and the hitherto frustrating Love Me True.

The latter had become a little frustrating, but finally shed her bridesmaid tag with a game effort in the Woodlands Park Maiden.

Wayne Smith has been enjoying a good run of late, and the Kildare jockey was again seen to good effect when producing Balizac with a perfectly-timed challenge to take the #20,000 Johnstown Handicap.
