Review NAVAN 4TH JUN

Fran Berry was the star of the show at Navan, partnering a double courtesy of Baggio and Emmpat.

Baggio just got up on the line to take the Mid-Summer Handicap under an inspired ride from Berry.

Charles O'Brien's charge looked to have plenty to do at the furlong pole but flew home in the closing stages to edge out Belleinga.

Emmpat proved an easy winner of the Ladbrokes Handicap, coming with a surging run to lead a furlong out and beat Vanishing Causeway by three lengths.

Dancing Sky looked a smart filly as she battled gamely to get the better of Tamazug by a head in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Race.

The Dermot Weld-trained filly was making her reappearance in the ten furlong contest and showed great resolution to emerge on top after a duel inside the final furlong.

Only four went to post for the concluding Coolmore Antonius Pius Race and it saw a Ballydoyle one-two with newcomer Road To Mandalay getting the better of more experienced stable-mate Born For Glory.

Fabrigas got off the mark in the opening Lynn Lodge Stud EBF Median Auction Maiden, showing a nice attitude when making all to beat Saint Andrew by two lengths.

Paris Sue blazed the trail and kept on well to land the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap while Cassandra Jade powered home on the outside to cause a 20/1 shock in the Coolmore Footstepsinthesand EBF Maiden.

Vic Ville ruled himself out of the beginners chase at Listowel tomorrow when opening his account over fences at the track in the ERA Horgan Properties Chase.

The Old Vic gelding made all for a comfortable eight-length success under Andrew McNamara, bringing back fond memories for owner Donal O'Connor, who had the first two home in the Kerry National at the track in 2003.

McNamara recorded a double when showing his strength to get Helensburgh up by a length in the Jackie & Gene Handicap Hurdle after Pat Hughes' gelding had looked in trouble three out.

There was also a double on the card for Willie Mullins as Financial Reward took the Ballybunion Median Auction Maiden and Connaught Hall claimed the Ballyduff Mares Hurdle.

Financial Reward, backed from 6/1 in the morning to 11/4f on course, had to repel a late challenge from Boulavogue to score while Connaught Hall made all for a comfortable six-length victory.

Simonetta also did it from the front in the opening Croom House Stud Maiden, when getting home by a short-head from Vision Of Grandeur while Willie Austin recorded a rare success on the level when Pauline'sanalysis took the Feale Handicap.
