Review TIPPERARY 5th Jun

David Wachman struck with a double and unleashed a nice newcomer in the shape of Bushranger, who ran out a promising winner of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Race.

The son of Danetime tracked the trailblazing Nubar Lady in the five-furlong dash and was angled out by Wayne Lordan to throw down a challenge with well over a furlong to travel.

The leader showed no signs of stopping, but the 100-30 chance finished to good effect to oblige by a neck.

Jim Bolger enjoyed a perfect confidence-boost ahead of his Classic assault on Epsom when Aaroness hosed up in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.

Backed down to 8-11 favourite on the back of her debut third to Arazan, the Distorted Humor filly was allowed an uncontested lead and Kevin Manning was looking around for non-existent dangers over two furlongs out.

From that point, Aaroness stretched further and further clear and she coasted to a five-length success, with Glisten her nearest pursuer.

Bolger just failed to land a quickfire double when the well-touted Luminaire lost out in a photo to Cat By The Tale in the Tallis & Co. Construction Maiden.

Luminaire drifted in the market, ran green and was possibly feeling the ground but still looked the most likely winner when taking over shortly after straightening up.

But Lordan conjured a late challenge out of the ex-American Cat By The Tale, who scored by a short head to land odds of 14-1, initiating the brace for Wachman and Lordan.

Favourite-backers were again thwarted at the death when Bio Boy was caught by Artist's Return (10-1) in the John Harney Bookmaker Handicap Chase.

Paul Carberry's looked to have plenty of horse underneath him when striking the front leaving the back straight, but Artist's Return stayed on best to win for the first time under Rules, scoring by half a length.
