Review TRAMORE 31ST DEC

Ruby Walsh's decision to go to Tramore was rewarded as he partnered a double at the Waterford track yesterday.

Pat Fahy and owner George Moore provided both the winners for Walsh. Jakers (6/4f) was a warm order in the opening Metal Man Novice Hurdle and ran out a convincing four-length winner over Pacolet.

Allaboveboard (3/1f) made all the running in the Graun Hill Mares Maiden Hurdle and stayed on gamely to hold off the challenge of Aunty Lil by a length.

Walsh was narrowly denied a treble when 8/11 favourite Mile High City was edged out by a head, by Jordans Lad, in a gripping finish to the Newtown Handicap Chase.

Strike Back (1/1f), an early casualty at Down Royal on Monday, made amends in the www.tramore-racecourse.com Beginners Chase when a comfortable two-length winner over Twist'N Shout.

Cafaygusulla was a good winner of the Guillemene Maiden Hurdle under Ken Whelan while Monday Blues prevailed in the Pickardstown Handicap Hurdle.
