Review TRAMORE 31ST DEC

The Billy Harney-trained Aunt Annie atoned for a slightly disappointing effort at four days earlier by capturing the opening Graun Hill Mares Maiden Hurdle ta Tramore yesterday. Partnered by Keith Hogan, Aunt Annie eventually accounted for Amadandee by one and a half lengths.

Keith Hadnett is experiencing a fine season and he gave the well-supported Baron Aron a masterful waiting ride to land the Guillemene Maiden Hurdle for the Donie Hassett stable.

David Roche, successful aboard Steel Band at Limerick on Sunday, was again on the mark when the Aoife Kent-trained Intercounty made every post a winning one in the Metal Man Novice Handicap Hurdle. In all probability, Intercounty will be seen in action again at Tramore this afternoon.

Periwinkle Lad, who finished second behind Bizet at Limerick last Friday, had little more than an exercise canter when slamming Longwood Leader by twenty lengths under Mark Grant in the Pickardstown Handicap Hurdle.

Liz Doyle partnered her first winner for Pat Fahy when Likeadaffodil, who traces back to Seskin Bridge, lasted home to beat Celestial Light by a head in the Waterford & Tramore Directors Ladies (Mares) Flat Race.
