Thirty five minutes on from his success aboard Aim For Glory Donagh Meyler doubled his Limerick score on Elm Grove in the Follow Limerick Racecourse On Instagram Mares Handicap Hurdle.

A 14/1 shot she may have been, but for owner/breeder John Malone, and trainer Madeleine Tylicki, Elm Grove convincingly accounted for Song Of The Sky by seven and a half lengths.

"That was badly needed! She is a tough little mare and I'm just delighted for John and Ita Malone and they are very supportive of us and she is a real trooper. Donagh gave her a lovely ride and it was great for him to have a double," stated Miss Tylicki.

"She loves hurdling and it was testing enough out there today and she didn't mind it and kept plugging away. She is a real hard working filly.

"We will have a bit of fun with her for the summer and we'll keep her happy and fresh at home."

The Stewards fined Gavin Cromwell, trainer, €350 for lodging a passport in respect of Duchess Ravenwaves (GB), in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The Stewards ordered the withdrawal of Duchess Ravenwaves (GB) in accordance with the provisions of Rule 90.
