Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up Might Bite heads a field of eight declared for the Betway Bowl Chase at Aintree on Thursday.

The highly-talented nine-year-old lost out to Native River in a battle royal for the blue riband last month but is sure to be a warm order for the three-mile-one-furlong showpiece.

The Nicky Henderson-trained gelding had earlier won the King George VI Chase and Tom George's Double Shuffle, who was only beaten a length by Might Bite in the Kempton feature, reopposes.

Also in the line-up is Bristol De Mai, runaway winner of the Betfair Chase for Nigel Twiston-Davies, while Nick Williams' Tea For Two will try to repeat last year's success in this race.

Brian Ellison's Cotswold Chase victor Definitly Red will attempt to bounce back to form after finishing sixth in the Gold Cup

The sole Irish-trained challenger is Henry de Bromhead's Sub Lieutenant, with Paul Nicholls' Clan Des Obeaux and Sizing Codelco from Colin Tizzard's stable completing the list of runners.

Balko Des Flos, Cloudy Dream and Shantou Flyer were the three withdrawals at the 48-hour final declaration stage.
