Minella Times ran on strongly to land the two mile six handicap chase in Listowel at 7/1.

He made headway before the second last and was ridden to get on terms at the last.

There were fully four horses in with a chance jumping the last of 17 fences in this staying test, but Minella Times stuck to his task well in the last half furlong to win by half a length.

He beat Beyond The Law (14/1) into second with Bay Hill another three parts of a length back in third at 13/2.

Jockey Rachael Blackmore said: "It was a lovely run, he is a real stayer and it was nice for him to do that.

"He is a typical one of Henry's (de Bromhead) and he makes a jockey's life easier when they can jump as well as him, and I got a great spin from him."

This was a second winner on the card for owner JP McManus who also saw his colours carried to victory by Drop The Anchor in the Grade B handicap hurdle.
