Joseph's O’Brien’s three-year-old gelding has won three times from four starts but now takes a huge rise in class in this Grade One over a mile and a quarter. Ming, who will be ridden by Billy Lee in the Secretariat, enjoyed a nice spin at the track earlier in the week and has reportedly acclimatised well to his new surroundings. Work-rider Tom Hamilton said: "He took it all in. It was good to get him out on the track. All good so far. He's three out of four and he’s been consistent. "He’s an improving horse. Hopefully he can run real well." Dermot Weld won the Secretariat with Winchester a decade ago and is this year responsible for Bandua, who was unbeaten as a juvenile but has yet to peak this summer — though admittedly in hot company. "He's a horse with a good constitution," said Weld’s travelling head lad Jeff Byrne. "He’s a very level-headed type of colt. He travelled well, he’s eating, sleeping."
