Miss Scott Takes Snow Fairy Stakes in Impressive Fashion The John and Thady Gosden-trained Miss Scott (3/1) was an impressive winner of the Group 3 Snow Fairy Fillies Stakes for jockey Christophe Soumillon by Three and three quarter lenghts. The daughter of Night and Thunder was narrowly denied on her last start in Salisbury but found for pressure to pull away from the Ger Lyons-trained Faiyum, who was guilty of over-racing in the early stages but kept on to finish second. Speaking after the race, the rider said, "It was not easy from that draw to get a better position. I was three deep out without any cover all the way. She was really relaxed all the time. When I asked her to pick up quite early, she just responded so well, and when I hit the front the last furlong, she was just pointing her heels in the front and stopping a bit. I needed to get her concentrated until the line. She loves the ground and she's a very easy ride, so I didn't have to do much with her." (Quotes from John O'Riordan
