Miss Seeks Newbury Compensation

Rockfel Stakes runner-up Missit is set for a quick reappearance at Newbury this weekend.

Mick Channon's filly was just headed by Kitty Matcham close home at Newmarket and will now drop down in class for the Listed Heatherwold Stud Stakes.

Owner Tim Corby said: 'The filly is in grand form and Newbury looks a good opportunity for her to get back on the winning trail. If there's any cut in the ground it won't bother her.'

Channon could also saddle Arc Trial winner Halicarnassus in the Weatherbys St Simon Stakes on the same card.

'We're in to run because we're not certain whether he'll be invited to go to Hong Kong. The ground needs to dry up a bit but the horse is fine,' Corby told www.mickchannon.tv.
