Missiee again showed her fondness for heavy ground as she claimed the Thank You Val O’Connell From All At Wexford Racecourse Opportunity Handicap Hurdle.

Successful at Gowran and Tramore last season, the Eoin McCarthy trained six-year-old was returning from a break this afternoon, with her last run coming at Ballinrobe in April.

Sent off an 8/1 chance in the colours of John Costello, the daughter of Dylan Thomas was given a patient ride by Gary Noonan and improved to lead before the second last.

Strongly pressed by Our Bobby approaching the final flight, the bay victor was soon left clear with Our Bobby unfortunately crashing out.

Two-and-three-parts of a length was the winning margin, with Capture The Drama filling the runner-up spot under Conor Brassil for Jimmy Mangan.

.Chacha Dancer (22/1) kept on well to take third, another six-and-a-half lengths back, while Navigator Jack (9/4f) was fourth.

"She loves these conditions. She is not blessed with toe but she just finds this ground easy and motors away through it," Noonan said.

"Hopefully that is the start of a good season for her now. That was her first run back after a break so she will be on the go now all winter.

"Hopefully there is plenty more to come from her and she will jump a fence in time as well. We haven't schooled her over fences yet but she shows enough scope over hurdles.

"That's my twentieth winner now and my eighth this season. Things are tipping away nicely and I can't complain."
