The 10-year-old finished a distant last of five behind Aitmatov after being remounted following a fall at the second-last in the Lismullen Hurdle. "He's ruled out of the season," said trainer Davy Fitzgerald. Mister Top Notch, winner of the 2007 Dr PJ Moriarty Novice Chase and last winter's Pierse Leopardstown Handicap Chase, had been as short as 20-1 with some firms for the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury on Saturday week.
