Jack Foley has made a fine start to his training career and reports Monbeg Park in good order as he aims to repeat last year’s victory in the €45,000 QuinnBet Handicap Chase at Leopardstown next month.

The point-to-point winner has scored five times under Rules and while without a win since that Leopardstown triumph last March, has continued to pick up prizemoney this season including when runner-up to Heart Wood in the Grade 3 BetVictor Chase at Punchestown.

“He will probably go back to Leopardstown in a couple of weeks’ time (Monday March 2), back to the race he won last year,” said Foley.

“He's been running grand and sure we are happy enough with him.”

Foley has saddled three winners for owner Donnchadh Doyle at Dundalk this winter, the latest of which came with Incredible Army at Dundalk on Friday evening.
