Emily Moon powered clear in the closing stages to run out a comprehensive winner of the opening mares beginners chase at Thurles this afternoon.

Jessica Harrington 's charge was sent to post an even-money shot on her first outing over fences and the confidence in the market proved well founded.

Robbie Power settled behind the leaders on the Beneficial mare before taking closer order after the fourth last.

She had a narrow lead after the next and was driven clear before the final fence to settle matters.

The winner could afford to ease down close home to record a 13 length win over Our Roxane

Kate Harrington said afterwards:- "Ever since she first jumped a fence at home she has been rapid over them and Robert thinks she will be nice when the ground dries up more and we go 2m4f with her.

"We'll have a chat and see where we go with her but she hasn't got black-type yet so that will definitely be on the agenda."
