Moore shines as he doubles up on Ethical Diamond Breeders' Cup Turf hero Ethical Diamond got back to winning ways in the Group 3 Ballyroan Stakes over a mile and a half at Leopardstown. It was Gaucher and Declan McDonogh who kicked on turning for home and they were some three lengths clear with a furlong and a half to travel. Ethical Diamond began to get rolling in third at the furlong marker, and both he and Green Impact got to grips with the leader in the closing stages. Green Impact led narrowly, but he was worn down by Ethical Diamond and Ryan Moore in the final strides. The 11/10 favourite prevailed by a short head from the 9/2 runner-up. This gave Moore a Group 3 double as he was also victorious on Isaac Newtown (10/1) in the Desmond Stakes. Willie Mullins said: "It was hard work but he got the job done. That'll bring him forward. "He's in a few races in Ireland and England, but I think there's a nice prize in Kentucky Downs in September over a mile-and-a-half that we might go for. I think it's a million dollar race, so we might have a crack at that. "It's a nice left-handed track, ground is usually as hard as iron. It's a track where Grabel won all those years ago (1990, with Mullins in the saddle). It was called the Dueling Grounds then, so we know the place."
