There was a delay to the fifth race at Thurles this afternoon to facilitate a helicopter pick-up of jockey Jonathan Moore following his fall in the third race on the card.

Moore's mount Bench Marker was brought down at the last in the Clonoulty Handicap Hurdle when well held in mid-division.

The Devil's Bit Beginners Chase was delayed by just over 11 minutes while Moore was taken to hospital for scans on a pelvic injury.

Doctor on duty Cormac Mehigan revealed:- "Jonathan Moore has been taken away to hospital via helicopter and it appears he is to be sent to Limerick University Hospital. He has a pelvic injury which needs scans."
