Tb Broke Her came out on the right side of a thrilling finish to the two mile seven handicap hurdle in Downpatrick.

She went hammer and tongs with Scenic Star on the uphill run-in but just prevailed by a short head in justifying 9/4 favouritism for Arthur Moore and Donagh Meyler.

Scenic Star was a market drifter from 10/3 to 5/1. The front two pulled six and a half lengths clear of Fiddle The Till (25/1).

Trainer Arthur Moore said: "She was 3lbs well in so that's why I ran her. On her new handicap she has 3lbs more. It was crazy not to take advantage of that. The first winner I trained for Pat O'Loughlin was about 42 years ago! We had a couple of fillies for him. He was delighted to send this filly to us. He's always been a good pal all the way through.

"This mare will go chasing in due course. We'll probably give her another run or two over hurdles so maybe Listowel beckons. It was a very good ride from Donagh. I knew she would battle, she's very genuine."
