More Boston joy for Elliott & Barry On the mark the previous evening at Roscommon courtesy of Boston Rover, Gordon Elliott and owner Derek Barry again successfully combined at Sligo this evening, taking the Glasshouse Hotel Qualified Riders Handicap Hurdle with Boston Rajj. Second when last seen at Limerick, the 105-rated chestnut was upped in trip this evening, tackling this extended three-mile and a furlong distance for the first time. Sent off an 11/2 chance and soon settled behind the leaders on the inner, he moved off the rail on the approach to two out and soon came with his challenge between horses. Pushed along to lead approaching the straight, the winning son of Rajj soon skipped clear and ultimately eased to a nine-and-a-half length win. Returned at 50/1, Tropical Image finished a gallant second under Alex Burke-Ott, while Mags Nelson (4/1) was another length-and-a-half away in third. Bidding to follow-up on a course and distance win, Ilbedare was sent off the 15/8 favourite (from 4s early), but he could only manage a disappointing seventh. "He was a bit keen the whole way and I just wanted to get him settled in behind a horse," Swan explained. "I was happy enough the whole way and to be fair to him he took me all the way up the hill. It was easy. "There should be a bit of improvement in him but his day was today and hopefully he can get a few more. "It's great to get that one today for Derek, he's a good supporter of the yard." STEWARDS REPORTS * The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ilbdare, trained by Mark Michael McNiff, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to have coughed a few times post race. The trainer subsequently reported that mucus was found on endoscopic examination post race. * The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Our Zebo, trained by Noel C. Kelly, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. * Mr E. Staples, rider of Backonthegoagain, trained by Colin Bowe, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that things got a little tight for room at the road first time around. * The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident going past the stands with a circuit to go involving Tropical Image, ridden by Mr A. Burke-Ott, unplaced and Made In The Woods, ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, unplaced, where it appeared Made In The Woods had to take a check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr A. Burke-Ott stated that he thought he was further up and apologised for the interference he has caused. Mr J.L. Gleeson stated that he maintained his line and asked Mr A. Burke-Ott to not come in on top of him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Mr A. Burke-Ott, was in breach of Rule 214 in that they had ridden carelessly, and having considered his clean record in this regard the Raceday Stewards suspended him for two racedays. * Mr J.L. Gleeson, rider of Made In The Woods, trained by Norman Lee, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had been badly hampered going by the stands with a circuit to go by Tropical Image.
