Moss on course for return The Michael Hourigan-trained Mossbank is on course to make his return from a lengthy spell on the sidelines in Wednesday's Guinness Kerry National. The 10-year-old ran third in the Punchestown Guinness Gold Cup when last seen in April 2008, and had earlier been placed in the Ryanair Chase at Cheltenham. Hourigan is pleased with how his charge has recovered from a leg injury but admits he is unsure how he will fare as he approaches his racecourse comeback. "We had a drop of rain again last night and I'll see what the ground is like again today, but it's nearly 100% that he'll run," said the trainer. "He's in good form but he's had his problems, so we take it one day at a time with him. When they've had leg trouble, some of them come back proper and others don't, so we'll have to wait and see. "They can do all their homework but you don't really know until you hit the track." Hourigan is set to be double-handed at Listowel on Wednesday with Dancing Tornado, a fine third over hurdles at Killarney last month, also in the reckoning for the feature event. "He's in good form and the ground won't make any difference to him," Hourigan told At The Races.
