Most Beautiful landed plenty of bets when getting off the mark in the opening six furlong median auction maiden for two-year-olds in Navan.

David Wachman 's filly broke smartly to track the leader Love Is All Around She smoothly eased to the front with over two furlongs to race and stayed on well to win by a length and three quarters.

The daughter of Canford Cliffs was backed from 11/4 in the morning down to an SP of 5/4 favourite. This was her second racecourse appearance having finished fourth on debut in Naas when also sent off favourite. Waterloo Bridge for Aidan and Joseph O'Brien, ran on in the final furlong to grab second place. He was popular at the track, being backed down to 5/2 from 3/1. Bobailin was half a length further back in third at 16/1. She was prominent throughout.

The winner sported the colours of former Irish rugby star Ronan O'Gara who owns the filly with Mrs Paul Shanahan.

David Wachman said: "She's a nice filly and we have always liked her. She's very big and a little weak. She will be nice for the second half of the year and for next year.

"Ronan has a racing interest in this filly. He has a huge interest in racing and it can only be good for the game."

Most Beautiful holds entries in the Group One Phoenix and Moyglare Stud Stakes and the Group Two Railway Stakes.

This could be an informative maiden as six of the 13 horses that went to post held Group race entries, including the second and third home.
