The Bar One Racing Mourne Racing Handicap fell to the classy Moviesta for Eddie Lynam and Billy Lee at Dundalk.

Owned by a trio that includes Harry Redknapp, the win here prompted Lynam to say: "He's some horse at home, and has plenty of ability. He's a proper horse when he's right.

"But it has been a year since he won a Group 3 and it was another two year's before that when he previously won a Group 2.

"I told the lads that if he didn't win today they could sack me! I'd run out of tricks, and maybe the turning track and the cheek-pieces did it today.

"I'll advise the lads to send him to Dubai as I think he can do well there. He's American bred and should love the dirt out there."

Nine to one chance Moviesta was held up, he made headway over a furlong out and he soon went second. He travelled well to lead inside the final hundred yards, going away at finish for a length and a quarter win over The Happy Prince

Meanwhile on Lady Mega (broke through the stalls and ran loose before being withdrawn in race two) Lynam said: "Lady Mega has a sore left shoulder that will need treatment but hopefully she will be okay."

The Stewards requested a report from Edward Lynam, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Moviesta (USA), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Edward Lynam reported that his charge appeared to have become disheartened and lost interest in his racing.

He added that while he was a previous winner at Goodwood and at the Curragh, he felt that by being bred to race on the dirt, that he would campaign here today. He was of the opinion that the application of first time cheek pieces and racing on a round track was also of benefit to rekindling his enthusiasm.

Furthermore he noted that he was racing today off a rating of 100 having being as high as 113. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
