Mozart sprints to victory at York Mozart confirmed his position as the leading European sprinter when easing home to take the Group One Nunthorpe Stakes at York today.The three-year-old colt, trained by Aidan O`Brien for owner Michael Tabor, added the Nunthorpe to his two previous English wins in the Jersey Stakes and the Group One July Stakes.Jockey Michael Kinane had no trouble once he pushed the 2/5 on chance to the front past early pacesetter Repertory and was a couple of lengths to the good in front of French raider and last year`s winner Nuclear Debate with outsider Bishops Court third.Earlier former England international footballer Mick Channon continued his superb training career when two-year-old filly Queens Logic won the Group Two Lowther Stakes and surged to being installed as favourite for the 1000 Guineas next year.The filly, who will be targetted at the Group One Cheveley Park Stakes in October, won a three-pronged battle under Steven Drowne and give Channon his second winnerin the race.
